BitOasis aims to offer the most secure and regulated infrastructure in cryptocurrency trading for retail and institutional clients across the region. https://bitoasis.net/en/about-us.Job DescriptionAbout the teamBitOasis’ Compliance team acts as the first line of defence in the company’s mission to ensure that its operations, activities, and services provided remain, at all times, in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. Collaborating closely with other functions, the Compliance team plays a critical role in developing, maintaining and monitoring internal policies, standards and processes, as well as in providing relevant training and conducting audits, identifying and mitigating potential risks to the business. The Compliance team is responsible for ensuring that all required regulatory reporting is done in a fully accurate and timely manner, and manages the day-to-day liaison with regulators and law enforcement, as required and requested.About the positionAs a Manager, Supervision & Licensing, you will play an instrumental role in ensuring that BitOasis operations, services and products under its existing licenses remain compliant, and in helping BitOasis/DCX Group secure new licenses that enable compliant business growth. In this role, you will:Oversee Supervisory Requirements: Track, interpret, and ensure accurate and timely compliance with applicable supervisory obligations. Keep relevant functions updated on the latest requirements.Coordinate Regulatory Reporting: Manage the preparation and submission of ad-hoc, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports required by regulatory bodies.Identify Licensing Opportunities: Collaborate with senior leadership to pinpoint licensing opportunities that foster the expansion of BitOasis’ product portfolio.Manage License Applications: Manage license application processes, coordinating with internal teams (e.g., Public Policy, Product, Engineering, Custody, Market Operations, etc.) and external stakeholders to meet internal and regulatory deadlines.Shape Regulatory Strategy: Set and implement BitOasis’ overall regulatory and licensing strategy in existing and new markets as per business plans.The position will be based in the UAE, with a preference for Dubai.QualificationsAbout youTo succeed in this role, you will need the following:At least 5 years of professional experience in compliance, preferably with a focus on virtual assets or fintech, ideally in the GCC or the broader Middle East and North Africa region;Thorough understanding of virtual assets-related laws, regulations, guidelines, and regulatory rulebooks in the UAE;Extensive experience and consistent track record in compliance with supervisory requirements, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to relevant regulators;Experience in managing license applications and securing licenses or regulatory approvals/authorisations in jurisdictions where BitOasis has existing licenses;Experience in responding to requests for ad-hoc comments or information from regulators and other public sector stakeholders;Proven, extensive ability to coordinate and lead collaboration across functions, fostering alignment and driving the implementation of relevant projects in close cooperation with Product, Engineering, Growth and other teams;Proven ability to prioritise and manage multiple, sometimes diverse workstreams to tight deadlines;Structured and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving;Impeccable attention to detail;Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and ability to work independently with autonomy;Nice to havesExperience in consulting or advisory work in a top-tier company with a focus on the Middle East and North Africa;Direct experience in working for or closely with regulators, or other public sector executives with a focus on financial technology, including virtual assets, or payments;Experience in working in a fast-growing startup environment.
