Leadership


  • Ensure that implementation of the business unit strategies and related strategic plans are developed and implemented and are aligned with the vision and mission of GCAA.
  • Lead the effective achievement of business unit objectives – setting individual objectives, recruiting qualified staff, managing performance, developing, and motivating staff, providing formal and informal feedback and appraisal – in order to maximise subordinate and departmental performance.
  • Oversee the consolidation and recommend business unit budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget

Knowledge Management


  • Develop and manage knowledge management strategy and framework
  • Build awareness across the organization on knowledge management 
  • Manage GCAA knowledge management initiatives and projects (Internally and externally), in coordination with the concerned Business units.
  • Ensure the implementation of organization-wide KM tools including but not limited to Enterprise Content Management, Lessons Learnt, Expert Locator, Committees, advanced search, etc.
  • Lead resources to develop and oversee the update of the GCAA organisation structure including the necessary review of organizational changes.

  • Archiving and Data Management 
  • manage the development and implementation of the Archiving policy, in Coordination with the ADMIC (This shall include the framework of the data record governance)
  • Ensure the development controls and procedures necessary to organize the collection, publication, sharing and documents and records classification
  • Manage archiving tools and systems and ensure a proper integration with the National Library and Archives centre. 
  • Manage the data and information exchange info exchange is a very wide word and it won’t be possible to manage by the unit, in coordination with the concerned business units within GCAA and the concerned authorities, and following up on its implementation after its approval.
  • Lead the development of the statistics data within the databases and according to the international standards and as per The Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority guidance.
  • Oversee the collecting, classifying, organizing, and analysing information, data and statistics related to GCAA activities in accordance with the approved international and statistical classifications and record data quality standards, and conducts the necessary analytical statistical studies. The way it is written, This is done by CSPD 

Survey Management


  • Lead the review proposed surveys to ensure the alignment with the concerned Business Unit roles and responsibilities and avoid overlaps and repetitions.
  • Lead the team members with the follow up with concerned Business Units to ensure proper communication and action taken for the survey results.
  • Manage and oversee all GCAA main Surveys such as, Internal Services Survey, Satisfaction major Surveys and surveys that are requested from the top management.

Corporate Studies and Benchmarking 


  • Manage the process of conducting effective R&D and benchmarking against leading practice to support the enhancement of the business unit within the corporate level. 
  • Ensure a proper support provided from the section business units in inbound and outbound benchmarking activities and ensure their compliance with the business unit’s mandate.

Policies, Systems, Processes and Procedures


  • Develop and oversee the implementation of department policies, procedures and controls covering all areas so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to stakeholders.

Reporting


  • Ensure that all functional reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet GCAA requirements and quality standards.

Health, Safety and Environment within GCAA 


  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, quality and environmental management procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/services and a responsible environmental attitude as per IMS available standards

Other Tasks/ Accountability 


  • Perform additional tasks relevant to the role / area of expertise as requested by the management to be able to achieve the objectives/commitments.
