Maintenance Planning:
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime.
Monitor work orders and prioritize tasks for timely completion.
Plan and oversee major repairs or installations, coordinating with external vendors when necessary.
Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:
Assist the team in diagnosing and resolving complex mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC issues.
Ensure that all repairs are completed efficiently and effectively.
Compliance and Safety:
Enforce workplace safety regulations and practices among the maintenance team.
Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with local regulations.
Maintain documentation of safety protocols and training records.
Inventory and Budget Management:
Oversee the inventory of tools, spare parts, and maintenance supplies.
Monitor expenditures to stay within budget constraints.
Approve purchases and manage vendor relationships for maintenance needs.
Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including completed repairs, equipment status, and inspections.
Prepare reports on maintenance performance, costs, and downtime for management review.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other departments to align maintenance activities with organizational goals.
Coordinate with contractors and service providers for specialized maintenance tasks.
RequirementsEducation:
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in a relevant field (e.g., HVAC, electrical systems, or mechanical repair). An associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
Proven experience in maintenance or a similar supervisory role.
Strong background in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems.
Technical Skills:
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Proficiency with maintenance management systems (CMMS) is an advantage.
