Job Overview


AtkinsRéalis is currently looking for highly experienced Maintenance Management System Engineer with proven track record of working in major transportation projects preferably in a rail/metro project.  Working under a Project Management Consultant (PMC) setup to oversee the works of the Design & Build (D&B) contractors will be a clear plus. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a major metro rail project, ensuring the effective management and maintenance of critical infrastructure. Roles and Responsibilities


Maintenance Management System Implementation:


  • Develop, implement, and manage the Maintenance Management System (MMS) for the metro rail project, ensuring alignment with industry standards and project requirements.
  • Oversee the integration of the MMS with existing systems and processes, facilitating efficient maintenance operations.

Coordination with Stakeholders:


  • Collaborate with the D&B contractor, client, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and operation of the MMS.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all maintenance-related discussions and decisions, representing the client's interests.

Data Management and Analysis:


  • Oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of maintenance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of maintenance activities and system performance, providing regular updates to the client.

Preventive and Corrective Maintenance:


  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of metro rail assets.
  • Coordinate and oversee corrective maintenance activities, ensuring prompt resolution of issues and compliance with safety standards.

Compliance and Safety:


  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with relevant safety standards and regulations, conducting regular audits and inspections to verify compliance.
  • Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the maintenance team, addressing any safety concerns promptly.

Training and Development:


  • Provide training and support to maintenance personnel on the use of the MMS and best practices for maintenance activities.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the maintenance team, ensuring high standards of performance.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:


  • Monitor the performance of the MMS and maintenance activities, providing regular reports to the client and project management team.
  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance system efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring the project meets its maintenance goals.

Risk Management:


  • Identify potential risks related to maintenance activities and develop mitigation strategies, integrating risk management practices into the maintenance planning and execution processes.
  • Ensure that all risk management activities are documented and communicated to relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.

Knowledge and Experience


  • 10-12+ years in rail or metro projects, having worked in a PMC setup will be highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in managing maintenance systems for rail or metro projects, preferably in a PMC setup.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance management principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • UAE experience in similar projects is highly desirable.
  • Ability to join immediately is preferred.
