Job Summary


Our Client a leading player in the Food & Beverages sector and a premier destination for international franchise operations in the UAE. 
 

Job Description:
 



1- Follow up and review the offers and prices of shipping and customs clearance companies



(time, quantity, quality...)

2-Daily and immediate follow-up of all company shipments at all ports according to the purchase and shipment manifests and the procurement or related department ' s request to send, receive and receive the original customs clearance documents. 



3- Make a file for each shipment and process all necessary documentation for all imports prior to arrival and follow up with the relevant departments of the company, shipping companies, extractors, suppliers or any government entity that requires review of the shipping papers and verification of the shipment's arrival in the company's stores. 



4- Organization and follow-up of all transactions and documents relating to delivery orders, bills of lading and permits required for clearance from all relevant authorities (of certificates of origin )... etc. and pre-arrange any orders that may require special certificates from any quarter and before the goods arrive, to avoid delay in clearing them. 



5- Responsible for all necessary information and data to complete the customs clearance process, with full responsibility for its validity and accuracy, and for ensuring that it follows the demands of the UAE Customs Service, as well as daily contact with ports and customs clearance companies, and those requiring contact from suppliers. 



6- Coordination and day-to-day follow-up with all relevant departments within the company regarding shipping operations. 



7- Requesting and following up on compensation payments from shipping companies in the event of delays in arrival or of delays or errors. 



8- Monthly preparation and review of shipping cost reports from various States with recommendations he considers relevant. 


9 -Makes all necessary reports to the Financial Manager.


 



Job Requirements:

 



  • Proven experience as supervisor or relevant role
  • Familiarity with company policies and legal guidelines of the field
  • Ability to learn a variety of job descriptions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Diploma/Certificate in first line management or relevant field
  • High school diploma; BSc/BA in management or relevant discipline will be considered an advantage
