Legal Research: Conducting research on relevant laws, regulations, and case law to assist attorneys in preparing for cases or projects.
Document Drafting: Assisting in drafting and editing legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, motions, and memoranda.
Client Interaction: Participating in client interviews and assisting with client intake to gather necessary information for cases.
Litigation Support: Providing support in litigation processes, which may include organizing case files, preparing trial binders, and assisting with discovery.
Administrative Tasks: Performing clerical duties like filing, copying, and maintaining legal documents and correspondence.
Observation and Participation: Attending court hearings, trials, and client meetings to observe legal proceedings and gain insights into the practice of law.
Assisting with Projects: Helping attorneys with various projects, which may include contract negotiations, compliance checks, and updating legal templates.
Proofreading and Reviewing: Proofreading legal documents for accuracy and compliance before submission to attorneys for review
Requirements
Candidates should be currently enrolled in a law school program or pursuing a related degree, such as a Master’s or Ph.D. in Law or a relevant field.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English & French; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
