About the job Legal & Compliance Officer

Our client is a prominent global gifting company based in the UAE, recognized for its extensive range of innovative products and exceptional customer experiences. They started in 1994, and to date they have more than 200 outlets, and they service over 155 countries worldwide.


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal & Compliance Officer to join the team, who will play a crucial role in identifying and mitigating legal and regulatory risks, as well as developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop, implement, and enforce compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas of non-compliance and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Provide legal advice and support to management and various departments on a wide range of legal issues, including contract interpretation, employment law, intellectual property, and corporate governance.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in laws and regulations that may impact the company's operations and advise management accordingly.
  • Collaborate with external legal counsel as needed on complex legal matters and litigation.
  • Conduct training sessions for employees to increase awareness of compliance requirements and best practices.
  • Investigate allegations of misconduct or violations of company policies and take appropriate disciplinary action when necessary.
  • Support the PRO in connection with works related to regulatory agencies and government authorities

Qualifcations:


  • Fluency in Arabic is an advantage
  • Proven experience in legal compliance or related role.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards in the UAE specifically, and across the GCC region in general.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to interpret complex legal documents.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in using compliance related web portals, programs and other relevant tools

Office Timings: Monday to Friday and Alternate Saturdays | 9am to 5pm


Location: Al Quoz Industrial Area
