LEAD PIPING ENGINEER

PURPOSE OF THE JOBS:

The Lead Piping Engineer will oversee the design and implementation of piping systems for onshore Oil & Gas projects, ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards. This role provides technical leadership, ensures project quality and safety, and mentors junior engineers to enhance team performance and project success.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and manage the piping engineering team in the design, development, and implementation of piping systems for onshore Oil & Gas projects.
• Oversee the preparation of piping layouts, isometric drawings, and material specifications in compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
• Ensure all piping engineering activities are executed in alignment with project schedules, budgets, and client specifications.
• Conduct technical reviews and provide guidance on design documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant codes and standards.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, project managers, and clients to ensure seamless project execution.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, providing innovative solutions to enhance project efficiency and safety.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with ADNOC standards and regulations.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
• Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and project updates to stakeholders.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be available to join immediately.
• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Piping Engineering, or a related field. A masters degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 15-20 years of experience in piping engineering, with a strong focus on onshore Oil & Gas projects.
• Proven experience with ADNOC projects is mandatory.
• In-depth knowledge of piping design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, PDMS, SP3D).
• Strong understanding of industry standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., ASME, API).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound engineering decisions.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
