About the job LEAD MATERIALS AND CORROSION ENGINEER (ADNOC APPROVED)

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Lead Material & Corrosion Engineer (ADNOC Approved) to oversee the engineering phase of onshore oil and gas projects. The ideal candidate will possess more than 15 years of experience in material selection, corrosion engineering, and related disciplines within the oil and gas sector. This role requires technical expertise, leadership skills, and a thorough understanding of ADNOC standards and procedures to ensure the successful delivery of projects.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Lead the material selection and corrosion control strategy for onshore oil and gas projects.
  • Conduct technical reviews of project specifications, designs, and engineering deliverables to ensure alignment with project requirements and ADNOC standards.
  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend materials suitable for various operating environments, considering factors like temperature, pressure, and corrosive media.
  • Develop and implement corrosion protection systems, including coatings, cathodic protection, and chemical treatment solutions.
  • Supervise and guide a multidisciplinary engineering team to meet project objectives and deadlines.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders, including ADNOC representatives, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure technical accuracy, cost control, and adherence to schedules.
  • Perform detailed failure analysis, risk assessments, and life-cycle evaluations for materials and equipment.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive technical reports, specifications, and presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide expertise in corrosion monitoring techniques and ensure implementation during project phases.
  • Ensure all engineering activities comply with ADNOC codes, standards, and quality assurance procedures.
  • Keep abreast of advancements in materials and corrosion technologies to recommend innovative solutions.
  • Support internal and external audits and address any findings related to materials and corrosion management.
  • Train and mentor junior engineers to build technical capabilities within the team.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related field.
  • ADNOC approval as a Lead Material & Corrosion Engineer is mandatory.
  • Over 15 years of experience in material selection, corrosion engineering, and project management within onshore oil and gas projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of ADNOC standards, international codes (e.g., NACE, API, ASME, ASTM), and best practices in materials and corrosion.
  • Proficiency in corrosion prediction tools and material modeling software.
  • Strong understanding of pipeline integrity, process equipment, and asset reliability in oil and gas operations.
