DAY TO DAY OPERATIONS
Assume sole responsibility for assigned Piping Engineering work scopes.
Carry out piping discipline work within a project team, supporting the project team for field development of oil and gas production facilities and renewable energy projects.
Plan, budget, organize, and control a segment of the pipe engineering deliverables for the project.
Prepare Piping deliverables for all project phases of oil and gas and renewable industries.
Ensure that all work is completed without compromise to quality and is delivered according to the project schedule.
Provide direction and guidance on all piping engineering technical queries raised by either internal or external parties.
Liaise with the client’s engineering, operations, and maintenance staff as required to ensure a consistent approach to project completion.
Promote safe behaviour at all times and demonstrate “Safety Leadership.”.
Provide sound technical advice and solutions to a diversity of technical problems within the discipline.
Co-ordinate with other disciplines during all stages of design development, construction, pre-commissioning, and start-up.
Assist in the coordination of all activities related to piping engineering design.
Identify any areas of concern with respect to progress and/or quality and recommend corrective actions as required.
Record the lessons learned from previous contracts in order to implement corrections in future contracts.
Plan and maintain manpower and other resources required for smooth operation of the Piping team for project and tender execution.
Estimate man-hours and materials for delegated aspects of work.
Conduct engineering audits, risk assessments, and training as required.
Prepare and review engineering studies, design drawings, and documents.
Plan, organize, and supervise the activities assigned to Piping discipline subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific area, project, / tender of Piping engineering activity is carried out in accordance with department and project work instructions, procedures, process manuals, and project-specific requirements in an efficient and procedurally compliant manner.
Perform other related duties or assignments as directed in order to contribute to the continuous operations of the department. Support the EPC engineering department and Piping Discipline initiatives.
Travel short-term or long-term as per project requirements within or outside UAE and adhere to DDWD travel or relocation policy as applicable.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum of 15 years relevant experience in an in-design office or EPC for FPSO/FFSO/FPU/MOPU/Offshore Sub-Stations.
Experience with performing FEED design, FEED verification, & detail engineering for piping discipline.
Delivered at least one 30,000 MT project in the design stage.
Fully trained and knowledgeable with relevant piping codes & standards, safety, and occupational health & safety standards.
Broad technical knowledge of engineering design of piping in basic, detail, and closeout for offshore renewables, FPSO/FPU/MOPU, & offshore platforms.
Strong knowledge in 2GW projects in European Offshore Substation projects.
Strong background with resolution of technical issues during project planning and EPC execution phases.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple offices concurrently and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and successfully execute tasks in accordance with business objectives.
Project management skills.
