Lead Architect

We are working with a fantastic, award-winning architectural practice in Dubai, renowned for their projects in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. They are seeking a Lead Architect with experience from concept design through to site execution. The successful candidate will independently manage a portfolio of projects, enforce and maintain agreed standards within project teams, and assist the Associates and Managing Partner in improving the overall performance of the practice. The Lead Architect is an integral member of the management structure in our clients business.

Your background.

• Work with the concept department to ensure deliverables are on time and within budget.
  
• Develop cost/time charts based on project deliverables, required resources, and agreed programme.
  
• Liaise with clients and sub-consultants, agree on deliverables, scope, and timescales.
  
• Present concepts in PowerPoint format and attend meetings.
  
• Coordinate sub-consultants and Senior Architect/Job Captain to produce stage deliverables.
  
• Ensure local authority compliance and track client approvals.
  
• Manage value engineering and inform clients of potential variations to consultancy agreements.
  
• Oversee the detailed design package and resolve outstanding issues.
  
• Oversee submissions for building permits and Civil Defence.
  
• Write specifications with assistance from the Senior Architect.
  
• Ensure issued information is accurate for each project stage.
  
• Review tenders for technical compliance and propose successful tenders to clients.
  
• Arrange for contract documentation to be signed and liaise with post-contract staff.
  
• Chair pre-commencement meetings and act as a continuous link to pre-contract staff, clients, and sub-consultants.
  
• Administer FIDC contracts and set objectives for senior architectural staff
  
• Maintain communication with clients, sub-consultants, contractors, suppliers, manufacturers, statutory authorities, staff members, and senior management.
  

• Professional Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
  
• Registered with an architectural board
  
• Minimum 10 years overall experience with a minimum of 3 years experience in similar role within the region
  
• Creative mind and the ability to think analytically
  
• Fluent in English
  
• Sound decision-making and knowledge of zoning regulations and building codes
  
• Advanced level of proficiency of Revit
  
• Strong presentation and customer relation skills
  
• Strong technical skills
