The Key Account Manager’s primary to maintain & further develop existing customers in close cooperation with customer service and management. Developing new business and building customer relationship. Closely working with operations and dealing with escalations with the team.


Detailed Responsibilities:


  • Grow existing customer portfolio and secure new customers.
  • Establish and maintain case study/customer profile plan for top 5 accounts within the portfolio.
  • Develop new business opportunities within your customer portfolio
  • Enter customer call activity and new business opportunities in Dynamics CRM on a weekly basis.
  • Develops and maintains expert level knowledge of their assigned account(s).
  • Provide exceptional quality service and solutions to key customers for all their logistics needs.
  • Provide customer KPI reports and analysis. 
  • Conducts business reviews with customer to review metrics, discusses business opportunities and operational challenges.
  • Act as escalation point for all critical matters relating to customers within your portfolio, i.e. AR issues, urgent shipment issues.
  • Contribute to the overall profitability of the region.
  • Working closely with all key stakeholders.
  • Achieve KPI’s set by management.

Qualifications & Characteristics:


  • Experience of 10 + years in freight
  • Existing customer relationships and solution driven attitude
  • Industry knowledge and is aware of the market.
  • Self-managed, result driven & outgoing personality.
  • Business minded.
  • Result orientated
  • Energetic & proactive
  • Good communication and organization skills
  • Ability to communicate industry related information to people outside our industry
  • Diplomatic, influencing & trustworthy
  • Ability to define requirements, analyse facts, and determine relevant solutions/actions to be taken
  • Extrovert personality with strong relationship building capabilities
