Junior Transport Coordinator - Logistics

• Qualification - Degree or equivalent
• 2+ years’ similar industry experience within logistics, moving services, or a related field
• Customer service skills
• Excellent knowledge of locations/roads in UAE: GCC
• Proficient with MS Office applications and able to learn new software quickly
• Excellent command of English (reading, writing & speaking)
• Arabic would be considered an advantage
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

GAC is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic Abu Dhabi team as Junior Transport Coordinator, supporting the Customs and Freight team and helping us deliver strategic, high-quality service that drives customer satisfaction and success.

Job Responsibilities

System utilization

• Monitor supplier service standards and ensure accurate upload of all external approved transport supplier invoices in GAC freight/DOLSIM systems.

Fleet maintenance, utilization and tracking

• Ensure GAC’s fleet utilization is above 90% through regular vehicle check, inspection, verification, standard procedure implementation and keeping of safety records.

Timely delivery of goods

• Plan and allocate daily workloads within the Transport team to meet customer requirements. Effectively coordinate with Operations team and customers to promptly expedite customs clearance procedures & deliveries.

Documentation & transport activities according to UAE traffic rules and regulations

• Maintain contact with relevant licensing authorities and oversee/process annual fleet insurance renewal, port passes and registration to avoid any fines and penalties.

Accident and incident investigation reporting

• Ensure compliance with all transport and customer related procedures and report non-conformances to management through accurate record and forms.

Cost-saving

• Work on cost-saving initiatives to minimize operational costs
