Junior Operation Specialist (Russian Speaker)

About the client

Our client is a global commodity trader based in Dubai. The trading house offers its services to connect suppliers with end-consumers in the ferrous and non-ferrous metals industry.

They are looking for a Junior Operation Specialist (Russian Speaker) to join their team in Dubai who has previous experience in commodity trading, logistics, or supply chain management

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the coordination and execution of commodity shipments, including preparation of documentation (invoices, bills of lading, letters of credit, etc.).
• Track and monitor the status of shipments to ensure timely delivery and address any issues that may arise.
• Communicate with internal teams (traders, logistics, finance) and external partners (suppliers, customers, freight forwarders) to facilitate smooth operations.
• Ensure accurate data entry and record-keeping in company systems for all trades, shipments, and related documents.
• Support the preparation and review of trade contracts and related agreements.
• Assist with troubleshooting operational issues and propose solutions to improve efficiency.
• Maintain awareness of market conditions and regulatory requirements that may impact trade operations.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance operational workflows.
• Perform other administrative tasks as required to support the operations team
  Requirements
  

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Logistics, or a related field.
• 0-2 years of experience in an operational or administrative role, preferably in commodity trading, logistics, or supply chain management.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with trading platforms or ERP systems is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Fluency in English and Russian is required; additional languages are a plus.
