Job Description
Job Title: Junior IT Administrator (UAE Nationals only)
Location: Dubai, UAE
Reports To: IT Manager
Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior IT Administrator to join our growing IT team. This role will provide essential support for managing and maintaining the company’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, hardware, and software. As a Junior IT Administrator, you will work under the guidance of the IT Manager and gain hands-on experience in various aspects of IT support, ensuring systems run efficiently and securely.
Key Responsibilities:
System Maintenance:
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems, hardware, and software across the organization.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot, and address any hardware or software issues.
Network Support:
- Support network configuration and ensure optimal performance of local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and internet connections.
- Assist in setting up and maintaining network security measures, including firewalls and VPNs.
User Support:
- Provide IT support to users, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Assist in setting up user accounts, email accounts, and software access permissions.
Data Backup & Security:
- Assist in backing up critical company data and ensuring the integrity and availability of data in case of emergencies.
- Help with system updates, patches, and antivirus/antimalware software installation to ensure security.
Hardware & Software Management:
- Help manage company hardware (computers, printers, phones, etc.), ensuring devices are in good working condition.
- Assist with software updates and installations, ensuring users have access to the latest and most secure versions of applications.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain records of IT assets, repairs, software installations, and system configurations.
- Assist with creating and maintaining user manuals and guides for common IT procedures.
Collaboration & Learning:
- Collaborate with senior IT staff and learn best practices in system administration.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in IT systems, security, and networking.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience:
- 0-2 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or a related field.
- Internships or hands-on experience during studies are considered a plus.
Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with Windows Server, Active Directory, and basic networking concepts.
- Basic knowledge of hardware components and software troubleshooting.
- Experience with common operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and productivity software (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, etc.).
Communication Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to assist non-technical staff in resolving IT issues.
Problem-Solving Skills:
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently and under pressure.
Attention to Detail:
- Accuracy in documenting issues, system configurations, and tracking IT assets.

- This position will be based in an office setting with occasional travel between office locations or to data centers, if applicable.
