Junior Accountant

Our client is one of the most diversified and growing business enterprises in the UAE and is a main supplier of premium home appliances since 1973 in the UAE. They are the sole marketer for such leading European brands as AEG, Deutz, Elba, Nolte German Made Kitchens Wardrobes & Express Kitchens & Wardrobes, Nardi, Ignis, Turbo Air.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in accounting, particularly in the construction industry and kitchen appliances sector.

Budget: AED 6000-8000

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate records for accounts payable/receivable and general ledger, process daily transactions for construction and kitchen appliance operations.
• Bank Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile bank and credit card statements, ensuring accurate matching of payments and receipts.
• Cost Tracking & Job Costing: Track costs for construction projects (materials, labor) and allocate expenses in the kitchen appliance division.
• Inventory Management: Track cost of goods sold (COGS) for both sectors, assist with inventory counts and adjustments.
• Financial Reporting: Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual reports (balance sheets, P&L, cash flow), and project-specific reports.
• Tax Compliance: Support VAT returns, sales tax filings, and ensure tax compliance.
• Data Entry & Documentation: Accurately enter and file financial documents, maintain organized transaction records.
• Collaboration: Work with senior accounting team and project managers on budgeting and forecasting.
• Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience: 3-5 years in construction and/or kitchen appliance industry, with knowledge of job costing and project accounting.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage), strong Excel skills.
• Knowledge: Understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and cost accounting systems in construction and kitchen appliances.
