Head of Assessment

Location: Dubai, UAE
The main objective of the job is to provide outstanding leadership to achieve excellence in the quality of teaching, learning and assessments delivered throughout the School. To drive high standards in progress and attainment across all phases of the school, through effective direct line management of School Principal and working closely with the Data Team, Vice Principals and Phase Leaders. The Head of Assessment of the School will assist in the formulation of assessment policies, action plans, goals and objectives in order to develop and maintain an educationally effective school of excellence.
Salary and Benefits:
1. AED18000-22000 per month depending on experience and qualifications (Tax free)

● Master’s Degree
● Bachelor’s Degree
Desirable:
● Recognized Leadership in Education qualification
Expected Experience:
Essential
● Extensive experience in assessment design, implementation, and analysis, preferably in a leadership role.
● Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Desirable
● Two years of experience in similar position
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Description
Assessment Strategy and Vision:
● Develop and articulate a clear assessment strategy and vision that aligns with the school's overall goals and objectives.
● Leading the development and implementation of Assessment policies and procedures in alignment with the American national curriculum framework and KHDA standards.
● Drive the implementation of assessment initiatives and ensure they support the school’s vision and mission.
Leadership and Team Management:
● Lead and inspire a team of data and assessment professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
● Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning within the data and assessment team.
● Provide leadership and support to faculty members in the Assessment policies and procedures.
● Set performance expectations, monitor progress, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
● Promote high academic and personal expectations for all students and staff members.
Process Development and Improvement:
● Design and implement assessment processes that are efficient, reliable, and aligned with industry best practices.
● Continuously evaluate and enhance assessment methodologies and tools to ensure their effectiveness and validity.
● Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and innovations in the field of assessment.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
● Collaborate with senior leaders, head of curriculum and instructional leads to understand their assessment needs and align assessment initiatives with school objectives.
● Provide strategic guidance on the use of assessments for talent acquisition, talent development, and performance evaluation.
● Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders and serve as a trusted advisor on assessment-related matters.
Data Analysis and Insights:
● Oversee the collection and analysis of assessment data, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and confidentiality.
● Extract meaningful insights from assessment results and translate them into actionable recommendations for the School’s decision-making.
● Present assessment findings to senior leadership and other stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
● To analyze the assessment data of all the assessments and train teachers on how to use data to guide instructional practices.
● Utilize the School’s student data system to measure student performance over time to inform educational decision making.
● Monitor and evaluate teaching and learning and the standards of pupils’ achievement and set targets for improvement.
● Setting up the benchmark of a student's attainment at all levels in all subject areas.
● Responsible for planning of data analysis & assessments training in the school.
● Responsible for analyzing the results and implementing interventions/enrichment to improve the results.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
● Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards in assessment practices, including privacy and data protection regulations.
● Establish and monitor quality assurance measures to maintain the validity, fairness, and reliability of assessments.
● Develop and implement strategies to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in assessment processes.
Change Management and Communication:
● Drive change management efforts related to assessment practices, ensuring buy-in and engagement from stakeholders.
● Effectively communicate assessment initiatives, processes, and outcomes to all levels of the organization, fostering understanding and support.
Miscellaneous
● Develop and maintain strong relationships with parents and other stakeholders to ensure that they are informed about data and assessment results and analysis.
● Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in curriculum design, assessment, and instruction
● Promote and represent the school both internally and externally.
● All the duties as assigned by the Director of Teaching and Learning.
