We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented IT Officer to join our team. This role involves managing and maintaining the company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations, secure network environments, and system reliability across all departments, including warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will provide essential technical support, oversee IT hardware and software, and lead troubleshooting efforts to reduce downtime. This role requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and a strategic approach to implementing IT solutions that support company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

·       IT Infrastructure Management

  • Manage and maintain the IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and systems, to support efficient and reliable operations.
  • Collaborate with vendors for hardware and software installations and maintenance, ensuring all components are compatible and up-to-date.
  • Regularly apply system updates and software patches to improve functionality and protect against potential security threats.

·       Technical Support

  • Provide prompt technical assistance to staff by troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Address IT support requests efficiently to minimize operational downtime and maintain productivity.
  • Document and track support requests to identify recurring issues and develop preventive measures.

·       Network & Security Management

  • Monitor network performance and implement security protocols to safeguard sensitive company data against cyber threats.
  • Enforce IT security protocols, including antivirus software, firewalls, and data encryption standards.
  • Conduct regular data backups and oversee disaster recovery plans to ensure quick system restoration if needed.

·       Warehouse Systems Management & Support

  • Troubleshoot and resolve warehouse-specific system issues to ensure efficient daily operations, minimizing downtime and optimizing workflows.
  • Manage warehouse hardware, including barcode scanners, RFID devices, and handheld terminals, ensuring functionality.
  • Provide daily technical support to warehouse staff for hardware and software issues, ensuring all systems are operational and accessible.
  • Conduct training sessions for warehouse staff on technology tools and system updates to promote smooth operations.
  • Act as the main point of contact for IT issues within the warehouse, ensuring swift and effective resolution.

·       System & Software Management

  • Administer user accounts, permissions, and system access rights to maintain data security and system integrity.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets, ensuring all hardware and software are current and performing optimally.
  • Assist in the deployment of new software and system updates to minimize workflow disruptions.

·       IT Policy & Documentation

  • Develop and enforce IT policies to establish best practices in technology use, security, and data management.
  • Create user manuals and training materials to help staff navigate new systems, software, and cybersecurity practices.
  • Keep detailed records of IT processes, software licenses, and asset management.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3–5 years of experience in IT support or system administration.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
