The Instructional Designer will be directly and functionally
reporting to the LC Programs Manager. This position entails applying learning
theory to craft compelling educational and training content via technology.
Responsibilities encompass the development and overhaul of courses/curriculum,
crafting training materials, and pinpointing learning experiences to address
knowledge, attitude, and skill gaps among the intended audience. The
Instructional Designer assumes the role of a lifelong learner, driven by a
dedication to enhance content delivery methodologies.
KEY RESULTS/ACCOUNTABILITIES EXPECTED FROM THE ROLE:
Create, develop, manipulate, and share learning content using various
technology tools.
Design learning experiences using multiple presentation technologies.
Develop videos, live training sessions, webinars, and other multimedia
content.
Whiteboard ideas for learning materials and developing presentations and
handouts.
Apply steps, processes, and resources to manage projects to meet
deadlines with high quality.
Apply visual and artistic talents to develop engaging learning
experiences using software like Articulate, Photoshop, etc.
Create assessment elements aligned with learning objectives.
Apply VR to learning content and collaborate with visual designers.
Design content for real-world application based on learner needs and
available resources.
Select instructional multimedia based on content and learner
requirements.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND CHARACTERISTICS:
Minimum Qualifications & Experiences
Bachelor’s degree in education, ed-tech, or other relevant major.
Strong evidence of life-long learning through demonstration of
continuous professional development.
