The project:

Mace is delivering PMC services across a significant portfolio of high-value mixed-use developments. The projects are at various stages of the development cycle and need to be managed through planning, design, procurement and delivery on what is a multi-year assignment.

• You will ensure the successful delivery of key assignments and defined business areas, providing strategic direction and monitoring delivery aligned with the overall vision and objectives. 
• You will be responsible for delivery from project inception/brief, through design development and planning, contractor procurement and the construction phase in accordance with the overall delivery program and agreed project milestones. 
• On behalf of external/third-party clients, you will oversee the project management of the project on an individual and team basis from inception to post-completion.
• You will be fully responsible and accountable for a portfolio of projects from an Infra design and masterplanning perspective.
• You will provide strategic-level leadership and work with the client and project stakeholders on all key project matters.
• You will lead, manage and motivate the teams.
• You will ensure the plans for planning the project, including design, procurement, project controls and delivery, are agreed upon with the client, communicated to the team, and implemented.
• You will manage relationships with the client and other project stakeholders.
• You will be responsible for approval and team compliance with the project execution plan, and ensure that all relevant parties, through your team, understand these project objectives.
• You will ensure the project is planned, managed and monitored, and robust and accurate reporting is in place.
• You will manage the Mace account, including invoicing and debt collection, robustly.
• You will promote Mace and seek further opportunities for Mace.
• You will at all times comply with Mace processes and procedures and deliver our services in line with Mace core values.
• You will lead the Mace team by example and ensure all HR matters are appropriately managed in a fair, caring and inclusive manner.
• Ensure the teams full compliance with project scopes.
• Supervise and manage and be fully accountable for the entire project.
• Direct and manage your subordinates in a professional, inclusive and caring manner.
• Establish project strategies, agree with the client, and ensure these are captured in the project execution plan and other plans as required and are communicated, understood and complied with.
• Be a leader for matters in relation to health, safety and wellbeing on the project at all stages.
• Ensure the project planning and monitoring of the progress is in line with the strategic goals and in compliance with Mace procedures. Ensure reporting of issues is accurate and timely. 
• Ensure the project team develops all necessary project plans and keeps them updated and relevant over the course of the project.
• Ensure project budgets are managed and matters of concern are raised to the client, with recommendations and strategies for VE or remedies of problems where possible.
• Ensure quality systems are in place and suitably managed and monitored.
• Directs the team and chairs relevant senior meetings, ensuring these are recorded as required.
• Overseeing the risk management.
• Ensure the team effectively communicates with all project parties’/stakeholders and ensures suitable records are maintained.
• Encourage the team's involvement in the Mace Foundation, responsible business and other such initiatives, all in line with the Mace vision.
• Ensure the Mace account is always administered in a timely manner and all debt is managed.
• Be proactive in managing the happiness and well-being of your team.

You’ll need to have: 

• A relevant degree qualification.
• Strong digital knowledge.
• Experience working in the United Arab Emirates is essential for client approval.
• Strong understanding of strategic project planning.
• Strong skills in client and stakeholder management at a senior level.
• Strong knowledge and experience of Infra masterplans and developments.
• Suitable technical qualification relevant to the specific project/role.
• Strong communicator.
• Good commercial skills.
• Able to ensure suitable project controls are in place and managed.
• Able to manage the Mace project accounting matters as required.
• Able to manage HR matters in line with Mace procedures.
• Experienced in risk management.

You’ll also have: 

• Membership in RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
• Substantial experience in the successful delivery phase of projects and programmes in the consultancy sector. 
• Property or infrastructure project management expertise.
• Commercial and financial acumen.
• Experience leading parts of projects within large, diverse teams. 
• Experience of developing and forming relationships with senior stakeholders. 
• Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
