Duties & Responsibilities:
- Locate sources of mechanical issues by observing devices in operation, listening for problems, and using precision measuring/testing instruments.
- Inspect machines for faults, diagnose potential problems, and provide reports on failures and spare part requirements.
- Demonstrate power tools/machines at company's showroom or customer sites and respond to technical queries.
- Prepare mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
- Deliver technical solutions for diagnosed problems.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs.
- Conduct machine inspections as needed.
- Report faults and findings, both verbally and in writing.
- Strip, fit, and replace machine components.
- Perform and sign off on machine tests upon completion before delivery to customers.
- Ensure correct recording of parts.
- Acquire technical and operational knowledge of all power tools/machines under the IMD product range.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of job cards before handing them over to the Warehouse Executive.
- Maintain and clean specialized machinery and equipment and assist with inventory coordination as required.
- Monitor equipment, parts, and supplies inventory, placing orders as needed and verifying receipts.
- Conserve maintenance resources by efficiently using equipment and supplies.
- Provide mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
- Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, and establishing personal networks.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Conduct machine demonstrations as requested.
Education:
- High School Diploma or Technical Diploma.
