Indirect Tax Manager

Job Description/ Role

The candidate will be responsible with:

• Good knowledge of the UAE VAT. Knowledge of VAT of other GCC member countries is desirable.
• Knowledge of UAE Excise, Customs and/or other GCC countries is desirable.
• Experienced in preparation and review of VAT returns for clients in diversified industries
• Experienced in providing necessary guidance to our clients, especially in relation to VAT return filing, refund and response to queries/audits by Tax Authorities
• Experienced in VAT Health Check/Due Diligence etc.
• Experienced in review of contracts, accounting systems, and procedures of clients on Indirect Tax implications.
• Experienced in tax optimization and risk mitigation
• Experienced on handling multiple engagements and timely delivery without compromising on quality.
• Must be a quick learner to understand client’s business and experienced in interpreting the VAT articles in the legislation to advise on the tax positions to the clients
• Apt in creating processes, flowcharts, and standards templates from VAT perspective for providing the services to clients.
• Lead and assist Director/Partner in client management for new and existing relationships.
• Experienced in business development
• Provide guidance/training to team members and internal department on Indirect Tax related matters.
• Guide and mentor junior members of the team.
