About the job Import/Export Operations Manager
Responsibilities:
Oversee and coordinate all import/export activities, ensuring compliance with international trade laws and regulations.Collaborate with freight forwarders, shipping companies, logistic agents, and customs brokers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.Maintain accurate documentation, including customs declarations, shipping documents, and other regulatory paperwork.Implement and monitor processes to ensure compliance with INCOTERMS and international trade standards.Address and resolve any issues or delays related to shipments, logistics, or customs.Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders to provide updates on shipment statuses and resolve queries.Manage budgets and negotiate rates with logistics providers to optimize costs.Monitor and analyze logistics operations to identify areas for improvement and efficiency.
Requirements:
Residency: Based in Dubai (for UAE region candidates only).Experience: Minimum of 3 years as an Import/Export Manager in the UAE is mandatory.Education: Bachelors degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field.Language: Professional-level proficiency in English (native or near-native).Knowledge:Familiarity with INCOTERMS and international trade laws.Strong understanding of customs clearance processes and regulations in the UAE.Skills:Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time management abilities.Strong attention to detail and communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
