Job Title: Human Resources Manager
Reporting to: Chief Financial Officer
Line Manager of: HR Officers, Recruitment Specialists
Location: Al Ain and Abu Dhabi (office based) with time spent in schools (Al Ain and Abu Dhabi)
Internal Interaction Relationship:
Deputy CEO Chief Financial Officer School Principals Directors HR Officers Recruitment Officer
External Interaction Relationship:
Liaise with governmental authorities, recruiters, and other relevant agencies
Roles & Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance of regional laws with particular reference to ADEK and NAFIS requirements for teachers and Emiratisation in education. Experience with ADEK compliance is essential.
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in alignment with Liwa Education's strategic goals
Provide HR guidance and strategic input to senior leadership on workforce planning, organizational structure, and succession planning
Lead and manage the recruitment process by collaborating with external recruiters, job boards, and marketing teams to attract quality candidates
Screen applications, coordinate interviews, and make recommendations to leadership regarding hiring decisions
Prepare employment contracts and manage personnel files to ensure regulatory compliance
Design and oversee onboarding and induction programs for new staff, ensuring a seamless integration into the organization
Drive the performance management process by developing frameworks, facilitating reviews, and supporting managers in staff evaluations
Provide counsel to school leadership on employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions
Liaise with government entities to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations
Identify training and development needs, and implement programs to promote professional growth and staff retention
Oversee employee exit processes, including exit interviews, offboarding, and final clearances
Ensure accurate maintenance of HR records and generate periodic reports on HR metrics, presenting insights to senior leadership
Develop and lead staff well-being initiatives and engagement strategies to enhance organizational culture
Monitor HR budget and expenditures, ensuring cost-effective HR operations and resource allocation
Manage compensation and benefits benchmarking to ensure competitive packages are offered

% of leadership satisfaction with HR support and initiatives
Qualification and Experience:
Minimum Academic Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
Experience: Minimum 3 years of HR management experience in an education environment
Technical and Behavioral Competencies:
Bilingual in Arabic and English (spoken and written)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in HR software and MS Office
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
Knowledge of HR best practices and UAE labor laws
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Strong leadership and negotiation skills
Strategic thinking with the ability to influence at all levels
Driving License required
