Produce, develop and implement Health & Safety and Environmental documented management systems, in accordance with specific Clients / Projects requirements.
Produce HSE related Training Material related to Projects and Corporate activities.
Plan, provide and manage Training across all functions of the organization.
Provide HSE Induction to all new joiners and those required. Inform them of the relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals and Procedures in place within Hill International, and ensures continued compliance with these requirements while employed by Hill. Maintain training records updated.
Facilitator and promotion of HSE culture across all levels of the organization.
Continually improving HSE implementation across the Projects and Corporate levels by providing guidance to the relevant teams.
Plan and carry-out HSE Audits in accordance with the relevant ISO standards and Contracts requirements, at Project and corporate levels.
Prepare and issue HSE Audit Reports and follow-up on findings until closed within the planned deadline.
Manage Audit Findings, projects feedback, lessons learned and make use of this information to suggest HSE Management System improvements.
Review RFP HSE requirements and provide BD with the necessary inputs accordingly.
Review CVs of HSE Candidates and determine suitability for specific HSE roles.
Conduct interviews of HSE candidates for projects.
Able to support Projects HSE tasks at all stages.
Able to verify and validate if HSE documentation, are in compliance with the Contracts requirements.
Conduct HSE site surveillances for HSE compliance.
Prepare, issue and follow-up HSE Surveillance Reports.
Manage HSE Management System documentation, ensuring documentation is always updated, logs updated and all relevant staff have access to the most updated versions.
Coordinate 3rd party audits, ensuring that all requirements are adequately addressed and records available at all times.
Participate in HSE Meetings as required.
Ensure HSE communication reaches all levels of the organization, as needed.
Coordinate as needed with Project HSE representatives.
Assist the HSE Director in his duties.
Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
BSc in engineering or equivalent
NEBOSH Diploma
Preferable qualified Auditor in ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
Minimum of 7 years of work experience as HSE Engineer, including site experience.
Excellent understanding of local HSE regulations and HSE procedures as per Abu Dhabi laws.
Fluent in English able to express clearly and objectively
Proficient at establishing articulate communication and drafting reports.
MS Office Proficiency Experience.
HSE experienced Trainer.
Strong observational skills
Experience in evaluating the effectiveness of the HSE Management Systems.
Ability to find feasible solution to improve the HSE standards of operations.
Updated knowledge of the HSE operating best practices, systems, and tools.
Knowledge and experience on Sustainability, Energy and Security Management Systems, are advantages.
