About the Role:


An opportunity has arisen for a Housekeeping Attendant  to join the Housekeeping Department at Zabeel House by Jumeirah the Greens. The main purpose of the role is to perform all housekeeping activities as directed in all guest rooms and public areas in accordance with the SBU SOP at all times in line with our life style concept.


The main duties and responsibilities of this role:


  • Complete the day-to-day housekeeping activities by following all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner while delivering a quality service to the property guests and maintaining standards of excellence.
  • Constantly being aware of the room status and public areas of the assigned blocks (including the corridors, back of the house areas, stairways, and service pantries) and proceed to the required actions to keep them clean and tidy.
  • Adhere to all relevant Health, Safety and Environment procedures, instructions, and controls so that Company provides world class and luxurious hospitality services to its guests.
  • Always maintain high standard of personal appearance and hygiene.
  • Report for duty punctually wearing correct uniform.
  • Provide a courteous and professional service to Company guest and internal customers.
  • Report any defects to team leaders to enable that the cleanliness and the orderliness in the assigned areas is always maintained.
  • Refresh towels, linen, toilet amenities, room amenities, etc. to maintain a comfortable environment for all guests in the resort.
  • Understand the use of the housekeeping cleaning chemicals and other equipment and apply them accordingly to work.
  • Keep all equipment on assigned blocks clean and in good working condition to attain maximum life span.
  • Identify and assist with security matters as a first point of call for guests checking into the Hotel to ensure any security risks are minimized.
  • Perform related tasks and duties as assigned and deemed necessary by management.
  • Normal shift hours for the assigned shift with normal hotel working conditions (indoor and outdoor), subject to the terms of individual employment contracts and to the relevant labor law. Physical duties within uncomfortable environments might be required
  • To perform other duties that management may from time to time reasonably require.

About You:


The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:


Essential:


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar capacity within the hospitality industry
  • Good level of speaking, reading and writing of English
  • Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy and work with a minimum of supervision.
  • Strongcustomer service orientation
