Job Description
- Consistently offer a professional, engaging and friendly service
- Ensure the cleanliness of guest rooms, colleague service areas & corridors while adhering to hotel standards
- Making beds, changing sheets and towels
- Cleaning washroom facilities including toilets, bathtubs, sinks, mirrors, floors, bathroom fixtures and others as assigned
- Vacuuming floors, draperies and upholstered furniture
- Dusting of furniture and fixtures
- Stock guest room amenities
- Removal and sorting of linen, garbage and recycling
- Assist guests with concerns and requests in a timely manner
- Placing furniture to its original position and being attentive to the guests belongings by pairing shoes, folding clothes and ensuring that all other personal belongings are cared for.
- Comply with all department policies, procedures, and service standards
- Follow and proactively promote all health and safety policies and initiatives
- Report all concerns related to Engineering/Maintenance, health and safety, security or suspicious circumstances (including smells/sights and sound)
- Responsible for the assistance in maintaining a clean and organized backspace and housekeeping cart.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Your experience and skillset includes:
- Warm and caring personality
- Ability to anticipate and focus attention on guest needs, being professional and welcoming
- Excellent organizational skills and time management
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
- No formal education/experience required
- Prior cleaning experience an asset
- Physically fit as you will be standing and walking throughout shift
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Able to bend and kneel with comfort
- Housekeeping is a very physically demanding position. Duties include repetitive bending, pulling, carrying, high lifting and heavy pushing (up to 50lbs.)
