Hospitality Coordinator

The American University in the Emirates is searching for a Hospitality Coordinator who will ensure exceptional hospitality and service standards for students, faculty, visitors, and event attendees. Their responsibilities will include supporting the planning and execution of university events, managing guest services, and maintaining a high standard of hospitality within the university community.

Salary Range & Benefits: AED 4,000 & Additional Benefits

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in event coordination or hospitality management, preferably in an educational, hotel, catering or similar setting.
• Preferably bilingual (speaks English and Arabic fluently)

Skills / Training / Knowledge

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software.
• Ability to work flexible hours, as required by event schedules.

Job Description

1. Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless execution of events.
2. Manage event logistics, including venue setup, catering, audiovisual needs
3. Serve as the primary point of contact for visitors and guests, addressing inquiries and providing assistance as needed.
4. Ensure that guest experiences meet high standards of quality and satisfaction.
5. Handle any issues or complaints in a professional and timely manner
6. Prepare and manage budgets for events, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality.
7. Prepare reports and provide recommendations for improving hospitality services.
8. Work closely with internal teams, including facilities, catering, and IT, to coordinate resources and ensure successful event execution.
9. Build and maintain relationships with external vendors and service providers
10. Perform any duties as assigned by the superiors
