Job Title: High Voltage Technician Contract:12 months Location: Dubai, UAE
Client is seeking highly skilled High Voltage Technician to provide first and second-level in-region technical support and solutions for our dealer network. The primary focus will be on resolving vehicle technical topics, particularly concerning Electric Vehicle (EV) powertrains and systems, including legacy car products. This role requires hands-on expertise in high-voltage systems, the ability to work with diagnostic tools, and a strong understanding of manufacturer guidelines and procedures. Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert technical knowledge in high-voltage technology and electric vehicle powertrains.
Offer proactive first-time fix approaches in collaboration with the dealer network and central support teams.
Identify and report product and safety-related issues, ensuring compliance with manufacturer standards and local legislation.
Deliver consultative, on-site support to dealers, assisting in needs identification, and implementing service process improvements.
Prepare and manage technical campaigns and recalls in coordination with local authorities.
Mediate customer complaints, supporting regional and central customer service teams to achieve satisfactory resolutions.
Conduct assessments and mediate customer-facing situations, resolving issues to avoid vehicle buyback or trade assist scenarios.
Drive service process improvements, positively impacting customer experience, brand value, and operational efficiency.
Participate in warranty audits, supporting dealer staff and processes to ensure successful completion and identify areas of improvement.
Identify missing or ineffective tooling, creating a detailed action plan to resolve gaps with the Regional Aftersales Area Manager.
Report on dealer health status, consulting on escalated customer cases and keeping all relevant parties informed on case progress.
Collaborate with central operations teams to define and implement interim repair solutions when full solutions are unavailable.
Arrange and support local technical forums, keeping the dealer network updated on the latest solutions for global or local market issues.
Support media, press launch, and marketing events, ensuring technical details are communicated accurately.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Strong understanding of vehicle mechanical and electronic systems to Master Technician Level.
High Voltage Expert (HVE) qualification in Hybrid/Electric Vehicle (EV) systems.
Experience with German vehicle technical systems is highly beneficial.
City & Guilds, HNC, or BE-ng (Hons) in a relevant field.
Significant industry experience in mechanical or automotive technical roles, including positions such as Master Technician, Technical Support, or Manufacturing.
Competence in handling high-voltage systems (up to 1500 Volts DC / 1000 Volts AC) and experience with Li-ion batteries and high electromagnetic fields.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
Excellent communication skills with a fluent command of English.
