As a Finance team, we are partners to the business in achieving the company’s goals and driving the banks performance. We focus on our clients and customers, on building deep and long-standing relationships and on improving the quality of our service and solutions; whilst balancing the pursuit of growth focusing on disciplined management of costs and risks, keeping a firm grip on liquidity and capital.

 

We are actively seeking an ambitious professional to join our Finance Group at ADCB to work alongside passionate colleagues who share your ambition to redefine excellence in UAE banking.

 

In this role, your key responsibilities include:

  1. ESG Sustainability Management and Strategy: Design and develop the ESG sustainability strategic plans and define environmental, social and governance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the Bank in line with the standards set out by the governing and regulatory organisations and align with the Bank’s strategic objectives Identify suitable partnerships and programmes to meet stakeholders’ needs, with consideration of best practices, in order to comply with legislative and ethical requirements and align with business needs Identify and assess suitable sustainability management initiatives which promote the sustainability agenda and align with the Bank’s strategy Educate, increase awareness and influence senior management to gain buy-in to and prioritise sustainability initiatives; and with internal teams to deliver on identified engagement targets and promote the sustainability agenda within the organisation Manage the implementation of the Bank’s ESG roadmap initiatives and frameworks to align to ESG regulations and best practices and ensure that surveys are conducted, analysed and action plans are developed and implemented in order to increase ESG sustainability rating.
  2. Stakeholder Relations: Develop metrics, KPIs and align policies to ESG sustainability goals, manage the cultural and behavioural change initiatives throughout the organisation through stakeholder engagement meetings, training, citizenship activities, team building activities in order to raise awareness and commitment at all levels and across all business activities and jurisdictions in which the Bank operates Implement external communication activities to represent and promote the Bank’s sustainability strategy and raise awareness in the wider market that ADCB serves through public relations, awards, thought leadership, citizenship activities and ADCB brand activities.
  3. Sustainability Agencies Relationships: Ensure engagement with rating agencies like Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI), Sustainalytics, Standard and Poor’s (S&P), Fitch and others in order to enhance the Bank’s overall sustainability and ESG ratings Implement the Sustainability Accounting Standards and Carbon Disclosure Standards reporting across the Group and that it is in line with the recognised leading agencies and reporting standards.
  4. ESG Reporting: Contribute to the ESG Annual Report or document in line with agencies reporting standards and criteria, collaborate with Risk and Compliance groups to produce integrated reports in order to achieve transparency in order to enhance perception and appeal to sustainability-driven investors.
  5. ESG Risk Assessment: Implement an ESG risk assessment framework, to identify and assess related risks and formulate plans to convert risks to opportunities in order to make the Bank a more attractive option for sustainably driven investors.
  6. People Management: Manage self and team in line with ADCB’s people management policies, procedures, processes and practices to ensure adherence and to maximise own and employee contribution to business performance Manage the effective achievement of the team’s objectives through setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing the team and providing formal and informal feedback to maximise overall performance, engagement and motivation.
  7. Budget Management: Contribute to the preparation of the business area’s budget and manage and monitor the financial performance against the budget so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalised upon.
  8. Policies, Processes, Systems and Procedures: Recommend and implement improvements to departmental policies, procedures and processes covering all areas of activity so that all relevant procedural requirements are fulfilled while ensuring that ADCB delivers best-in-class services, products and innovation.
  9. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to contribute to organisational and departmental change initiatives, programmes and projects taking into account best practice and standards in the business environment.
  10. Customer Service: Demonstrate Our Promise and apply the ADCB Service Standards to deliver the Bank’s required levels of service in all internal and external customer interactions.
