HEAD OF PORTFOLIO

JOB PURPOSE:

Head of Portfolio is responsible for end-to-end delivery management of all Strategic initiatives, Programs & Programs under Enterprise & International within the allocated budget and responsible drive optimization, automation & innovation in alignment with the Banks objective.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Manage all the deliveries within Enterprise & International Portfolio, responsible for all technology & business demands received from UAE & International locations
• Drive innovations, cost optimization initiatives & automation which will contribute towards the objective of delivering more with less
• Responsible for portfolio update in portfolio review meetings, steerco and provide inputs to the committees as applicable
• Develop the strong team of Portfolio managers, program managers who are strong in functional & technical, able to work all technology teams, business teams, of UAE & International and also with Central PMO team
• Develop and drive the strategy to build the optimized result oriented teams in line with Offshore strategy & also to align with Emiratization objective
• Guide, coach & work closely with Portfolio managers & program managers on project governance, delivery KPIs , preparation of Steerco & other MIS decks from time to time.
• Ability to negotiate, influence senior management for delivery alignment with the objective of cost elimination, risk mitigation, process optimization and contribute towards the objective of savings.
• Oversee & accountable for Scope, Time and Budget management and ensure zero variance
• Manages day to day operation aspects of a portfolio & resolve any challenges of projects to enable the teams to deliver on time.
• Reviews of deliverables, weekly status reports, checks on budgets vs actuals, , change requests prepared by the team & ensure variance are within the organization KPIs
• Effectively collaborates and communicates with the stakeholders and ensures customer satisfaction and work towards getting CSAT scores (Internal customer satisfaction scores) in line with organization expectation
• Align wit CxO levels in International markets, work towards Total cost of ownership, drive big picture of aligning country IT related to Groups standards

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Masters degree in computer science/Information Technology
• Significant experience in Banking, especially on implementing or upgrading Enterprise projects of functional & technical in nature, align International teams in line with UAE strategy
• Technical experience in understanding the architecture, middle ware systems, cloud hosting knowledge
• 20+ Years of overall IT experience with minimum of 13 years of experience in Banking sector/Enterprise applications with global implementation experience
• Good understanding of internationally accepted Project Management Principles, Methodologies (Waterfall, Hybrid or Agile) and Practices (PMI Certification or equivalent is an advantage).
• Candidate should be Techno Functional and ability to engage with cross functional teams, problem solving and good negotiation skills.
• Hands on experience in handling Microsoft Project (MPP knowledge is a must), Microsoft Powerpoint, Excel & Word.
• Creates and executes program work plan along with the team and closely monitoring the deliverables.
• Manages day to day operation aspects of the portfolio. Resolve any challenges within portfolio teams to enable the teams to deliver on time.
• Effectively collaborates and communicates with the stakeholders and ensures customer satisfaction.
• Ensure close monitoring of the project along with providing periodic updates to the Sr management.
• Provides report on status of the project under execution, challenges, risk and mitigation plan.
• Familiarity with project performance monitoring principles and metrics.
