Role       : Global Head of Transaction Banking 


Location : Abu Dhabi
Role Purpose:


Lead, develop and grow the Transaction Banking Business by building the Product Development, Sales and implementation across WBG, BBD and FI segments in UAE, IBG countries and Egypt. Build ADIB’s reputation as the market leader amongst its peers in both Islamic and Conventional Banks. . Become a core revenue contributor to ADIB by building the Cash Management and Trade Finance business and create client dependency on ADIB.  


Key Accountabilities of the role      


  1. Strategy and execution: Develop and deliver Transaction Banking business strategy, by leading the market through host of Islamic trade finance product and becoming the liability generator for ADIB. Build a sustainable organization for product development / management, sales and client delivery. Achieve Revenue target set for the transaction banking.
  2. Transform the business: Develop and lead Transformation projects that ensure ADIB becomes a market leader in transaction banking and sustains it with developing leading edge products and creating automated and digitally enabled operational process, enhancing client experience. Continuously refresh the on-line and mobile banking offering to ensure market leadership is maintained. 
  3. GTB Management Multi-Country and Multi-Group: Lead GTB Sales, Product Development and Product Delivery departments across WBG, BBD, FI and IBG Groups in UAE, Iraq, Sudan, UK and provide connectivity and support for GTB in Egypt. Provide  focused support to the core business in WBG UAE
  4. Revenue and expenses: Own all P&L and Balance Sheet accountabilities relating to transaction banking and deliver profitable growth and financial objectives. Ensure that the coverage area cross sell revenue is growing vs. finance revenue
  5. Sales Management: Developing and delivering a sales strategy that would allow the bank to secure strategic business and satisfy customer needs promoting asset, liabilities and P&L growthAccountable for sales and deals in pipeline , by directing sales efforts and supporting coverage for new customer acquisitions. Provide continuous guidance to the sales heads and sales team and support them for key deals closure. Meet customers and discuss their strategic needs and provide solutions how ADIB can partner with them to fulfill it. .
  6. Product Development: Drive the development of technical sound judgment of Transaction Banking products, identify opportunities in the market to generate strong revenue and profitability. Leading the  product managers across all product families and online banking. To manage assets and liabilities   portfolio under Cash Management and Trade Finance Products that generates specific revenue for collections, payments, liquidity management, documentary trade,  open account financing and other trade backed financing. 
  7. Product Delivery (implementation) and Product Experience: Manage Product Delivery (implementation department) that implements all deals sold and then hands them over to WBG, BBD and FI service departments (which is located outside of GTB) this includes designing complex and strategic solutions for MNC’s and large corporates in UAE and IBG countries. . Manage Product Experience unit that documents and enhances the way customers are using the product across Sales and Implementation (Overall Customer Experience to be managed directly by the respective coverage areas in WBG, BBD and IBG).   
  8. Online banking: Establish and run the digital platform for companies on the internet and mobile covering all products with a focus on Cash Management, Trade finance and FX products. Keep up with all digital trends in the industry.
  9. CRM Management:Manage the CRM centrally to ensure the maximum cross sell of products.
  10. Stakeholders management: Partner with Relationship Managers, Treasury and other stakeholders in selling liquidity, FX, trade finance and other transaction banking products. Develop and maintain close working relationships with key stakeholders, particularly in Group Heads, country heads and support functions: Shari’a, Legal and Risk.
  11. Market profiling: Represent and strongly position ADIB in international Seminars, organize and participate in customer related events. Write business related articles that ensure high positioning of ADIB among customers and in the industry
  12. People: work on training, upgrading and engaging the teams across the different GTB departments. 
  13. Expenses:  Ensure tight management of expenses that are in line with the GTB growth and bank ratios.
  14. Risk management: Manage product related risk in the area of operational risk and credit risk. Ensuring delivery of products that enhance return on risk for the bank. 

   
Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required for this role:


  • Managing multi-department multi-county teams
  • Deep experience in Cash Management, Liquidity, Trade Services and Finance 
  • Deep experience in online banking platforms, Digital and information technology
