In this Strategic Finance role, reporting to the CFO of DHL IT Services, you will play a key part in defining our strategy and objectives, overseeing the delivery of programs and initiatives, and conducting in-depth analysis to support management decision-making. Your expertise will ensure accurate and timely financial analysis, legal frameworks, financial policies, accounting standards, performance reporting, and the provision of vital financial and non-financial information to our leadership team.
You will guide scenario analysis and forecasting, monitor business trends, gather competitive intelligence, and contribute to strategic planning discussions. Your insights will be crucial in reviewing corporate governance, balanced scorecard performance, and participating in our annual business planning cycle.
We need someone who can develop and enhance tools and planning methods to increase efficiency, improve functional processes, and implement controlling objectives for specific business areas. You will deliver controlling projects, provide financial risk and opportunity analysis, and act as a financial advisor on regulatory, tax, and financial planning decisions.
Your role will also involve supporting business owners in preparing and analyzing business cases, suggesting enhancements to existing controlling processes, and guiding business managers in interpreting financial information.
As the Head of Controlling & Finance Strategy India, having strong stakeholder management skills is a huge plus. Being able to communicate and influence senior business leaders, develop strong relationships within and beyond your team, coordinate with third parties, convince experts to accept new practices, understand and address stakeholder concerns, and provide technical guidance to managers and employees is an integral part of the role.
WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE
You are a self-driven individual contributor with potential to lead a team as the role and the Finance team expand over time. Having more than 10 years of experience, you are able to work in a matrix organization structure and be responsible for overseeing processes and programs.
You are a finance & controlling aficionado; therefore, you are an expert in Change Management, Business Strategy and Project Management. You have a deep understanding of Financial Planning, Strategic Planning, Forecasting, Balance Sheet, Financial Risk Management, Business Partnering and Business Case development. Working in a multinational environment, you can expect cross-region collaboration with teams around the globe, and opportunities to provide mentorship, guidance, and feedback while delegating tasks to junior professionals to support their development.
When it comes to qualifications, you should hold a relevant bachelor’s degree (Accounting/Finance/Economics, etc.) and, ideally, a Chartered Accounting qualification.
