Role : Head of Compliance Intelligence, Data and Coordination

Role Purpose:
The Head of Compliance Intelligence, Data and Coordination is responsible for leading the integration of advanced technology, data analytics, and intelligence into the bank's compliance framework. This role focuses on leveraging AI and machine learning to enhance compliance systems, driving synergies with the bank's Advanced Computing Environment (ACE) unit, and ensuring the optimization and validation of critical compliance systems. The role plays a vital part in ensuring that the bank remains at the forefront of technological advancements in compliance, mitigating risks, and enhancing operational efficiency.
Key Accountabilities of the role
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Strategic AI Implementation: Lead the integration of AI and machine learning technologies into compliance systems, including AML, KYC, and fraud detection. Ensure these technologies enhance predictive accuracy, reduce false positives, and improve overall compliance efficiency.
2. Collaborative Initiatives: Work closely with the Bank's Advanced Computing Environment (ACE) unit to develop and deploy advanced computing resources for compliance purposes. Identify opportunities for collaboration that enhance compliance technology capabilities.
3. System Optimization: Oversee the tuning of AML systems to enhance detection accuracy, reduce false positives, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Utilize data analytics to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies that may indicate potential risks.
4. Sanctions Screening Optimization: Lead the tuning and calibration of sanctions and payment screening systems to ensure they operate with maximum accuracy and efficiency. Address and resolve any issues related to false positives or negatives.
5. Conduct regular audits and validations of sanctions screening systems, ensuring they maintain their effectiveness and compliance with industry standards.
6. Oversee the management of model risks associated with compliance systems. Ensure all models are validated against regulatory standards and best practices, with regular reviews and updates.
7. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of all validation activities, including methodologies, findings, and corrective actions. Provide regular reports to senior management on the status and performance of compliance systems.
8. Data Integration: Ensure the seamless integration of data from various sources into AML systems, enhancing the ability to detect suspicious activities. Drive the use of big data analytics to support more informed and accurate decision‐ making.
9. Innovation Management: Identify emerging AI and machine learning trends and assess their applicability to the bank's compliance framework. Collaborate with IT and data science teams to implement cutting‐edge solutions.
