Job summary
MISSION:
Responsible for ensuring the effective handling and layout of equipment, evaluating handling tools, and coordinating with vendors for pipe supporting activities.
TASKS:
Develop and review handling and layout plans for offshore fixed facilities with a focus on maintainability and operational efficiency. Ensure designs comply with industry codes, standards, and client specifications. Address and resolve any handling and layout issues, ensuring the maintainability of equipment and systems. Evaluate and select handling tools and equipment to ensure they meet project requirements and standards. Conduct vendor assessments and coordinate with vendors for pipe supporting activities. Ensure all designs adhere to the Cleint’ standards and specifications. Conduct quality checks and reviews of designs and models to ensure accuracy and compliance. repare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including handling and layout plans, vendor evaluations, and technical reports.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. 15+ years of experience in handling and layout engineering within the Oil & Gas sector, specifically in EPC offshore fixed facilities. Previous experience with Saudi Aramco, Qatargas or ADNOC standards is highly preferred. Proficiency in using design tools such as Microsoft Excel, MicroStation/AutoCAD, and Navisworks. Fluent level of English, written and spoken.
