Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Gastroenterologist to join the medical team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will specialize in diagnosing and treating disorders of the digestive system, including conditions affecting the esophagus, stomach, intestines, liver, pancreas, and gallbladder. This role offers the opportunity to provide expert care to a diverse patient population in a modern, well-equipped facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat a wide range of gastrointestinal (GI) disorders, including acid reflux, ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), Crohn’s disease, colitis, and liver diseases.
  
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as endoscopies, colonoscopies, and liver biopsies.
  
• Develop individualized treatment plans for patients, utilizing a combination of medical therapies, lifestyle recommendations, and, when necessary, surgical interventions.
  
• Interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory tests to identify gastrointestinal conditions.
  
• Manage conditions such as chronic hepatitis, cirrhosis, pancreatitis, and gastrointestinal cancers.
  
• Work closely with dietitians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
  
• Educate patients about preventive measures and lifestyle modifications to manage and prevent gastrointestinal conditions.
  
• Participate in hospital-wide initiatives to improve patient care quality, such as developing protocols for GI disorder management.
  
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and legal regulations.
  

Qualifications:

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
  
• Board certification in Gastroenterology.
  
• Valid DHA (Dubai Health Authority) license to practice in Dubai or eligibility to obtain one.
  
• Minimum of 5 years of post-specialization experience in Gastroenterology.
  
• Proficiency in performing endoscopic and colonoscopic procedures.
  
• Strong analytical and diagnostic skills.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
