Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Garage Manager to oversee daily operations at our garage, ensuring efficient workflow, safety compliance, and excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the garage, including staffing, inventory management, repairs, and maintenance services for vehicles or motorcycles. The Garage Manager will also ensure that the financial and administrative aspects of the business are running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Staffing and Resource Management:

- Determine staffing, financial, material, and other short- and long-term requirements.

- Manage and schedule garage staff, ensuring that there is adequate coverage for all shifts.

- Provide training and guidance to staff on technical repairs, safety procedures, and customer service standards.

2. Inventory and Spare Parts Management:

- Ensure necessary spare parts, materials, and equipment are available or obtainable at short notice.

- Manage inventory levels efficiently to avoid overstocking while ensuring all necessary parts are on hand for routine repairs and services.

3. Vehicle and Motorcycle Maintenance:

- Arrange for maintenance staff to perform necessary repairs and preventive maintenance on vehicles or motorcycles.

- Oversee the allocation of work orders, ensuring that jobs are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

- Check completed work for compliance with safety and other statutory regulations.

4. Quality Control and Compliance:

- Inspect and approve all completed repair work, ensuring it meets quality standards and regulatory compliance.

- Maintain detailed records of repair work to detect any recurrent faults and improve service quality.

5. Customer Service and Merchandise Information:

- Provide information and assistance regarding garage merchandise for both staff and customers.

- Address customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.

6. Financial and Administrative Duties:

- Ensure that all financial records and accounts are accurately maintained, including invoicing, expense tracking, and budget management.

- Develop financial strategies to improve the garage’s profitability while maintaining high service standards.

7. Health, Safety, and Environmental Standards:

- Ensure that the garage complies with all health and safety regulations.

- Promote and maintain a safe working environment for all employees and customers.

8.Training & Upskilling:

Provide continuous training and upskilling opportunities for the staff to enhance skills and stay updated with industry trends.
