Business Need / Purpose of Role

The Bunker Surveyor reporting to the Marine Survey & Inspection Manager, based out Fujairah, UAE shall be responsible to conduct Bunker Quantity Surveys / Bunker detective surveys / Bunker ROB Surveys within UAE. The surveys will require immediate turnarounds as client expectations are high. The post holder will carry out other survey jobs as are within the scope of the division and as requested by the Line Manager, whilst ensuring full utilization of all ISS systems according to the Standard Operating Procedures.

Objectives & Measurement – Key Responsibilities

• Conduct Bunker Quantity Surveys: Coordinate with the office coordinators / agency, client and third parties to ensure timely attendance. Attendance to be followed up with a suitable report based on the job scope and in line with best industry practise.

• Conduct Bunker Detective Surveys: Coordinate with the office coordinators / agency, client and third parties to ensure timely attendance. Attendance to be followed up with a suitable report based on the job scope and in line with best industry practise.

• Conduct Bunker ROB Surveys: Coordinate with the office coordinators / agency, client and third parties to ensure timely attendance. Attendance to be followed up with a suitable report based on the job scope and in line with best industry practise.
• Marketing Activity: Engage in marketing activity for the division where possible.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Competent user of the Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Being able to communicate verbally/writing in a clear and concise manner.
• Balance multiple tasks, changing priorities & operate within a deadline-oriented environment.
• Good interpersonal relationship in managing people/sub-ordinates, planning, organizing. 
• Excellent attention to minute details.
• Self-driven, organized, good communication skills.
• Strong planning and coordination skills.
• Strong Problem Solving & Analytical Skills.

• Excellent Time Management Skills.

• Having a global perspective and possess a progressive thinking skill.

Education, Qualifications, Certifications, and Licenses

• 3 years’ experience in similar role with excellent knowledge of Bunker Surveying.
• Having a good knowledge of customer base and their requirements.
• Relevant experience of working within a Bunker Survey Services industry.
• Experience of working to pre-defined processes and procedures and delivering work in accordance to SLA (Service Level Agreements).
• Good level of numeracy.
• IBIA / IFIA Certification would be required for this role.
• Marine or Engineering background shall be desirable.
• UAE Driving License shall be desirable.
