Your Day to Day


As Front Office Intern, you will be learning to act as the central communication point of contact at the hotel by providing and co-ordinating rapid responses to all guest requests, inquiries and needs; as well as assigning work orders to appropriate personnel. To identify and anticipate guest needs; ensure complete guest satisfaction. 


Some of your main role responsibilities are:


  • Promote Inter-hotel sales, in house facilities and Food & Beverage outlets.
  • To be fully conversant with the facilities, services and special promotions offered by the hotel and to pass this information on to the guest to maximize hotel sales.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of standard reservation procedures.
  • Greet guests at all times in a friendly and helpful manner and attempt to learn and use guests’ name at every opportunity. 
  • Take action so as to guarantee that guests depart from the hotel with a positive impression of hotel services.
  • Maintain current information on all general activities of the hotel
  • Attend to guests’ inquiries and requests, refer problems to Supervisor if he/she unable to assist.
  • Monitors all calls that are in queue and answers appropriately.
  • Notify guests or internal staff of any delays in performing work orders and call back guests to ensure guest satisfaction within accepted time frame.
  • Well aware of the restaurants operating hours and specials/promotions within the operation as well as catering space requirements and locations

Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for: 


  • Previous experience/On job training in a similar position 
  • Adequate English language communication skills is required.
