Fleet Maintenance Supervisor

Our client in the field of logistics and supply chain is looking for a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor.
 

Job Description:

Day-to-Day Operations:
 

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the fleet maintenance department.
• Coordinate and schedule routine maintenance and repairs for fleet vehicles.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, parts inventory, and fuel usage.

Team Management:

• Supervise maintenance staff, assign tasks, and monitor progress.
• Train and mentor maintenance staff in safety procedures and best practices.

Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure that all maintenance procedures comply with local regulations.
• Identify and recommend vehicle replacement when necessary.

Vendor Relations:

• Manage relationships with vendors and service providers.

Cost Analysis and Efficiency:

• Analyze maintenance costs and provide recommendations on fleet utilization and replacement.

Preventative Maintenance Programs:

• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential equipment and safety issues.

Emergency Situations:

• Manage emergency breakdowns, coordinating roadside assistance and repairs.

Job Requirements:

 

• Proven experience as maintenance supervisor or similar role
• Strong technical knowledge of all building systems (electrical, heating etc.)
• Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations
• Understanding of budgeting and performance management
• Excellent planning and leadership abilities
• An eye for detail
• Computer savvy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• College degree
• Mechanical engineer degree is a plus
