Field Service Representative

The Role

As a  Field Service Representative (FSR), you will be performing maintenance and service in the Field Service team at Saab Ltd, based in Abu Dhabi UAE. As a  FSR, you will perform service and maintenance of our Ground based Surface Radars at our customer’s sites. The work will involve analysis and interpretation of performance data and troubleshooting.

You will work closely with our customers and Saab support teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and servicing the Ground based surface Radars as an integral member of the FSR team.
• Technical point of contact between SAAB, the customer and backoffice.
• Training of customer in conjunction with trainers from Sweden as per agreement.
• Documenting technical elements according to company’s processes.
• Coordinate with logistics team regarding spares, inventory management, handling of repairs and logistics flow of parts.

Experience and Skills

• Experience from high voltage power
• Authorized Electrician Education
• Coding experience in Linux
• Experience from both terminal and GUI
• You like to work in teams and solve complex problems with others. You have a personal need of variation and see it as a challenge to face new problems. You will be working in a mobile environment and may be required to work in shifts to meet the requirements
• Ground based Radar experience is preferred

Knowledge and Abilities:

• Proven experience within Radar System and RF/MW test and operations
• Proficiency in using RF test equipment and tools
• Experience with system testing
• Communication, presentation, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office experience required
• Ability to communicate well with all levels of staff and with customer/other departments
• Ability to mentor and train others within your field of expertise
• You must be able to express yourself in English, both oral and in written word
• Driver’s license, truck driver's license preferred!

This position requires that you undergo a security screening in accordance with the Saab internal processes.
