Field Electrical Engineer

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) is one of our main clients along with Tier 1 and Tier 2 EPC contractors in this sector. We have the expertise to carry out full EPC&M services for electrical and instrumentation works and bring our intrinsic knowledge to measure and automate exploration, production, separation, refining processes, and distribution through our localized services.

1. Review electrical designs, drawings, and technical documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.
2. Supervise the installation of electrical systems and equipment on-site.
3. Conduct testing, inspection, and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring functionality and safety.
4. Prepare detailed reports and documentation for commissioning activities.
5. Identify and resolve electrical issues during installation and operational phases.
6. Perform routine and preventive maintenance of electrical equipment.
7. Ensure all activities adhere to HSE standards, local regulations, and company policies.
8. Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures for electrical works.
9. Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, contractors, and vendors.
10. Provide regular progress updates and technical reports to project stakeholders.

1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with on-site field experience.
3. Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, NFPA, and API).
4. Proficient in using electrical engineering software and tools.

1. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and control systems.
2. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
3. Familiarity with hazardous area classifications and explosion-proof equipment.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work in challenging environments and under tight deadlines.
6. Certification in Electrical Safety or Hazardous Area Installation (e.g., CompEx, ATEX).
7. PMP or other project management certifications.
