Job Summary JM Product Application will support the CoE Product Applications manager in project activities (NPD/VE/Technical support) related to bakery, confectionary, savoury (incl. frying), dairy and nutrition applications of O&F product innovations and renovations. Roles & Responsibilities
Support the CoE Product Applications manager in project activities (NPD/VE/Technical support) related to bakery, confectionary, savoury (incl. frying), dairy and nutrition applications of O&F product innovations and renovations.
Plan and conduct food application trials on pilot plant and laboratory equipment and report the results with conclusions and recommendations to validate the performance of the IFFCO Oils and Fats solutions.
Suggest and propose new recipes and process conditions for bakery, confectionery, savoury/frying, dairy and nutrition applications.
Develop methodologies and process conditions for the equipment and instruments in the application laboratory.
Make innovative solutions and prototypes for IFFCO business and customers.
Participate in design and execution of hands-on training and demonstrations to support customers, as well as IFFCO Sales, Marketing and R&D teams.
Conduct benchmark studies to identify gaps in existing product portfolios of IFFCO.
Assume responsibility for the maintenance of the applications pilot plant and laboratory equipment.
Maintain stocks of raw materials and packaging required to conduct applications trials on bakery, confectionary, savory (incl. frying), dairy and nutrition applications.
Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage in the Applications area.
Manage shelf-life studies for product samples generated in the application trials.
Collaborate with Oils & Fats R&D to align product design with customer expectations.
Recommend equipment and instruments to maintain capability in line with the business needs and last technology trends.
Communicate effectively with R&D project leaders, sales, marketing, operations, QA/QC to understand requests and the scope of trials.
Keep track of relevant publications in professional magazines, follow modern food trends with specific emphasis on O&F-relevant applications and share learnings and recommendations with technical and commercial teams of IFFCO.

Work experience requirement Preferred Experience

Thorough knowledge of Bakery category (Biscuits, Breads, Cakes, Extrusion, Fillings etc.) including processing equipment or production experience in the related category.
5+ years of experience in a FMCG company, oils and fats experience is an advantage.
R&D / QA / QC experience is strongly preferred.
Demonstrable computer skills are strongly preferred.
Other Requirements

Result-oriented attitude, pragmatic hands-on approach, and can-do mentality.
Good communication and presentation skills.
Fluent in English.
Proficient in MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).

Qualification Required Qualification

Diploma in Food Technology, chemical engineering or related field (Mandatory).
Post graduate studies in food technology (Desirable).
