European Experienced Agricultural Cargo Specialist

Apt Resources is on the lookout for a European Experienced Agricultural Cargo Specialist to join our client's growing team. As the Agricultural Cargo Specialist, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transfer of cargo across various modes of transportation (air, land, and water). This role involves planning, organizing, and supervising the loading schedule while ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and specific handling requirements. You will also manage cargo documentation, perform stock control, and oversee operational activities to ensure smooth and timely cargo movement.

• • Coordinate the import of plants and materials from various countries, ensuring adherence to UAE regulations and international trade agreements.
  • Responsible for managing and facilitating the import of plants from various countries into the UAE, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, customs brokers, and freight forwarders to optimize the import process.
  • Prepare and submit required documentation for customs clearance and compliance, including phytosanitary certificates and import permits.
  • Stay informed about local and international regulations on plant imports/exports, including any legislative changes.
  • Conduct risk assessments and establish procedures to mitigate compliance risks.
  • Analyze market trends to identify new sources for plant imports and export opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of all import/export transactions and produce regular reports for management.
  • Ensure all records comply with regulatory standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.
