Job Description:
Foreground is partnering with a leading production house company specializing in printing, booths manufacturing, and branding solutions, based in the UAE to find an experienced and Estimator.
Role Overview:
An Estimator with a strong understanding of production processes and project costing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for estimating project costs, preparing detailed quotations, and collaborating with the production manager to ensure projects are delivered within budget and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
Cost Estimation & Analysis:
- Analyze project requirements and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates.
- Break down the costs of materials, labor, equipment, and other resources required for each project.
- Collaborate with vendors to obtain competitive quotes for materials and services.
- Provide accurate and comprehensive estimates to support decision-making and client proposals.
Collaboration with Production Team:
- Work closely with the production manager to assess project feasibility and budget alignment.
- Provide insights and recommendations on cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Support the production team in planning and scheduling by providing cost-related data.
Market Research & Vendor Management:
- Stay updated on market trends, material prices, and industry standards.
- Maintain a database of trusted suppliers and service providers to ensure competitive pricing.
- Negotiate with vendors to secure favorable terms for materials and services.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare and maintain detailed records of estimates, quotations, and project costs.
- Generate regular cost analysis reports for management review.
- Assist in post-project evaluations to compare actual costs versus estimates and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in cost estimation, preferably within a production house, printing, or events industry.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, materials, and pricing structures.
- Proficiency in estimation tools and software, along with advanced Excel skills.
- Exceptional analytical and numerical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to work effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
