Engineer- Design & Analysis – Risers, Installation Analysis, Umbilical

Overview of Role
The Global Projects Centre (GPC) is Subsea 7's centre of excellence for the execution of its largest projects worldwide.
Within the "Risers, Installation Analyses and Umbilical" (RIAU) department, you will be supporting tenders and/or projects for the technical follow-up of the
umbilical /Cable package and support installation analysis.
Misson
Integrated within the RIAU team the engineer will be supporting tender and/or project for the technical delivery of the cable and/or umbilical package. Candidate will also contribute to the installation analysis of cables/ umbilical and flexibles.
Under the responsibility of RIAU Engineer II, your main responsibilities will be to:
Understand Client needs support to develop specification for Umbilical, cable Suppliers. Support the selection of the Umbilical/Cable Supplier through technical evaluation Plan, detail and review technical documentation relating to Cable/umbilical, subsea hardware and topside interface. Design and engineering activities associated with Umbilical cross section, umbilical terminations, bend restrictors, cables, medium voltage distribution, flying leads, hydraulic hoses and tubes, general umbilical associated hardware, and interface with valve and electrical/instrumentation, and HPU Perform installation analysis for flexibles, umbilical, cables, mooring and subsea structure using Orcaflex. Ensure design and detailing in accordance with acknowledged industry Codes, Standards and Design Guides (e.g. API 17J, DnV, ISO); Client Specifications and Scopes of Work, and Subsea 7 internal standard (BMS) Be aware of the Overall project / Tender planning and responsible of the planning of his / her Scope of Work. Support to Ensure progress and compliance of the supplier in close interface with SCM function Provide engineering assistance during mobilisations and occasional periods of offshore or site working, including FATs, SITs, Pre-commissioning, etc. Check that the procedure and analysis match the project objectives Attend to project engineering reviews as and when required. Provide technical engineering support to other departments within the Engineering Group, the Project Engineering Group, and to colleagues Ensure that know-how is transferred within the discipline & attend to discipline meeting as required.
Professional Qualifications and Experience
Engineering degree holder (Marine, Civil or Mechanical) or equivalent. Relevant experience, in Offshore industry of 2-4 Years. Umbilical/ Cable Design experience Orcaflex Knowledge Any other Hydrodynamic software (e.g. Moses) (beneficial)
