The purpose of this role is to support the Employee Relations (ER) team in cultivating a positive and productive workplace. The Trainee HR (Employee Relations) will assist in managing employee relations processes, addressing concerns, and ensuring fair and consistent application of HR policies. This role contributes to the overall employee experience by fostering engagement, resolving grievances, and supporting organizational harmony and satisfaction. The role includes but is not limited to: Objectives:
Support employees in accessing the MADAD Portal and guide them on raising MADAD Tickets
Assist in responding to staff tickets and keep stakeholders informed on ticket status
Help resolve login issues for frontline staff on the Support Portal
Facilitate onboarding and refresher training sessions to encourage the use of grievance systems
Aid in addressing employee grievances within defined timelines, escalating as needed
Operational Excellence:
Participate in fair investigations of grievances and help prepare reports when necessary
Assist in implementing corrective actions in line with HR policies
Maintain a database to track grievances and resolutions, supporting trend analysis
Collaborate with departments to implement preventive actions based on grievance trends
Organize employee feedback sessions to evaluate grievance resolution effectiveness
Assist with exit interviews, visa cancellations, and air ticket arrangements for departing employees
Help coordinate HR visits and events, including Tea and Talk and Happy Hour visits
Support project managers in resource allocation to meet project requirements
Participate in organizing cross-functional training programs to enhance employee skills and foster knowledge
transfer
Audits and Compliance:
Help track grievances raised during HR visits and ensure timely communication with stakeholders
Assist in auditing accommodation arrangements and compliance with company standards
Provide support in compliance audits to ensure adherence to labor laws and organizational policies
Assist in developing policies and procedures to address identified compliance gaps
Requirements
Minimum bachelor’s degree in HR, or relevant business qualification
Minimum 1 - 2 years in a similar role, preferably within an FM or engineering industry
Provide a high level of customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
Prompt response to queries in writing or by telephone
Maintain and ensure implementation of all HR-related paperwork and filing
Takes ownership of issues and seeks equitable and creative solutions to problems
Excellent knowledge of MS Office
Fluent English language ability both spoken and written
Familiarity with the HR Support Portals and ticketing system
Ability to effectively address and resolve workplace conflicts
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Skill in negotiating and mediating between parties
