Overview of the role
The main function of this role is to support with preparation of policies, communications on Ethics, implement the escalation process and provide guidance on ER matters. The role will consist of maintaining the ER speak up channels for employees to raise concerns and manage ER Cases, ensuring the cases are investigated and tracked in line with the escalation process, developing and maintaining metrics and reports, ensuring the outcome of each case is compliant, fair, consistent with business priorities and local labor law and adhering to the Al-Futtaim values. The role will also require implementing and maintaining the Policy Framework, Compliance processes and Business Ethics policies, guidelines, and other relevant ethics-related documentation and communication for the organization.
What you will do
- To provide timely and accurate advice on employee relations issues, HR policies, local labor law practices, policy standards and compliance risk.
- To mediate conflict, to conduct employee investigations, to conduct disciplinary hearings always remaining impartial, confidential, fair and professional.
- Must be able to make recommendations for corrective and disciplinary action.
- To ensure ER policies/codes & processes are current, conform and comply with the relevant labor laws. (such as Speak Up, Disciplinary Code, Code of Conduct & Ethics, etc.)
- To constantly communicate and implement the end-to-end process of the policy framework, compliance processes group-wide speak up, disciplinary, and the escalation process.
- To act as a translator in employee grievance or appeal hearings and to communicate ER programs and strategies.
- Ensure effective working relationships in a diverse multi-cultural & competitive commercial environment.
- Develop SOPs, SLA’s and lean process flows, ER training program and material.
- Ensure accuracy in all ER administrative tasks, (legal, financial and reputational) for group-wide employee relations.
- Maintain a strong network of internal and external specialists and peers.
- Involvement in HR strategic projects as required.
- Support the Line Manager with the policy project review process, consolidation, monitoring, delivery and with HR Compliance Reviews.
- Monitor controls and key performance indicators (KPIs) for an effective compliance program performance management and for the speak program.
- Analyze and report on the compliance program and speak up performance.
- Carry-out compliance risk assessment and due diligence covering all areas of the Ethics policies.
- Analyze and report on disciplinary process.
- Roll out campaigns creating awareness on ER related matters, such as the COCE, speak up, etc.
- Implementation of corporate ethics training program, including appropriate introductory training for new employees as well as ongoing training for all employees and managers.

- Knowledge in the Microsoft suite of products.
What equips you for the role
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma HR / Employment Law.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in HR and/or ER in the GCC.
- Knowledge of UAE Employment law and employee relations.
- Proven track record in project management and delivery.
- Experience in drafting and editing policy documentation.
- Good understanding of the various functional areas and risk within HR and their importance.
