Electrical Engineer, PV - Dubai

Electrical Engineer is responsible for plant maintenance under supervision of Operations Director with respect to automatic robotic cleaning systems for PV Plants in MEA region used for module cleaning and soiling Optimization. Provides Management and Technical Instructions to the team and prepare the Operations & Maintenance Plans for ARCS as per OEM guidelines and optimizes the cost. He will be expected to provide instructions and supervision to the Maintenance Team for the PV Plant. Prepare O&M reports, Technical reports and will support Operations Director in day to day business. Design review, involvement in construction, Vendor management and to prepare the warranty claims during operation will be part his responsibilities

• Research and development for Robotic systems, Vendor selection and optimization with respect to spare parts and repair jobs.
• Control the operation and maintenance activities of the staff and subcontractors
• Manage, maintain, and optimize the performance of robotic cleaning system.
• In house development of robotic system maintenance workshop and minimize the down time for repair.
• Develop and ensure implementation of maintenance procedures to achieve the optimum utilization and operating efficiency of Photovoltaic plant.
• Take necessary actions required to implement soiling control measures as indicated in the O&M Contracts.
• Flexible to work in multiple locations/plants.
• Research on appropriate cleaning methods and frequency, as well as an analysis of beneficial values (increased efficiency).
• Reporting to the Plant activities, incident reports with causes and remedy actions to the Customer, summary of daily log sheet, daily performance report, weekly status report, and monthly performance as well as operation activities with any recommendations of modification and annual report. Control and report of Key Performance Indicators.
• Control the owner’s warehouse, providing tracking of spare parts used, warranty claims and reposition of the used parts.
• Assist to periodic meetings with subcontractors and suppliers to stablish operating conditions, maintenance progress, problems and solution of operation and maintenance plans.
• Identify the competency gap for their subordinate personnel and implement necessary actions.
• Ensure identification of root cause for the identified non-conformances/ deviations and to implement corrective actions/Preventive actions.
• Define the correct cleaning activities, processes and periodicity
• Provide adequate support to carry out the internal audits in the plant and ensure systematic closing of identified non-conformances/deviations
• Follow the HSE rules and guidelines to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the plant
• Facilitate adequate training for the personnel.
• Ensure monitoring and control of contractors & subcontractors’ activities within the premises.
• Administrate warranty claims and communication with suppliers to assure the spare parts and services at the plant
• Prepare the Performance and Availability reports
• Force Majeure management.
• Provide technical support and guidance for technical aspects related with the Photovoltaic Power Plant and Electric Generation
• Ensure and direct implementation of efficient and effective maintenance methods and techniques.
• Play a positive role in construction and commissioning phases of Plants.
• Provide technical support and guidance for technical aspects related with the Photovoltaic Power Plant Electric Generation
• Surveying and assessing the environmental impact of causing dust and lowering panel performance
• Control the warehouse inventory and issue the procurement request of the tools, spare parts and consumables.
• To write Operation and maintenance instructions for the PV Plant

Minimum Qualifications, Experience, Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electric Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in field and at least 2 years of experience in operation and maintenance of PV plants.
• Experience in Construction and Commissioning of PV plant will be an added value
