About the job DOCUMENT CONTROLLER

We are seeking a skilled and organized Document Controller to join our consultancy team for a prestigious PMC project in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will ensure proper documentation, organization, and compliance with project requirements and standards, supporting the smooth flow of information across the project team and external stakeholders.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Manage and maintain project documentation, ensuring that all documents are properly archived, updated, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with project management, design teams, and consultants to ensure the timely submission and retrieval of documents.
  • Implement and maintain document control processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with client and regulatory standards.
  • Distribute and track documents to ensure proper flow and storage of project files, including drawings, technical specifications, contracts, and reports.
  • Manage electronic document management systems (EDMS) for easy retrieval of documents and correspondence.
  • Ensure version control, file naming, and numbering conventions are consistently followed.
  • Liaise with the project management team to ensure proper document review and approval workflows.
  • Assist in preparing progress reports, document registers, and logs as required by project management.
  • Provide administrative support related to documentation and communication.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:


  • Diploma or degree in a related field (Engineering, Project Management, or Business Administration is a plus).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Document Controller in the construction/consultancy industry.
  • Proven experience as a Document Controller in the consultancy or PMC sector, ideally within large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with document control software, EDMS platforms, and standard procedures in the construction and consultancy industry.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and document management tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be immediately available in the UAE.
  • Prior experience on PMC projects is preferred.
